5-PL SUMMER UNIVERSITY. HISTORY, SCIENCE, CULTURE, SPORT AND SPIRITUALITY

We invite you for an adventure of getting to know Lublin a very dynamic and modern place with many colleges and universities but also rich in history, cultural life and spiritual heritage. It is also home to John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin — the oldest and largest Catholic university in the country. Our housing and a number of activities will be based there. We will meet staff, students and graduates, who will share their knowledge and experience through interactive presentations and workshops, like: “Modern psychology – help in discovering and developing our talents”, “Artificial Intelligence – how to understand and use it well?”, “Applied anthropology – nothing more practical than a good theory!”, “Theology of the body – message very relevant for today”, “Has it all came into being by coincidence? Can biology teach us anything about God?”. Many of the meetings will be in the open spaces of parks and various places within the town. We will visit Castle of Lublin, Open Air Village Museum, Botanical Gardens, Majdanek Concentration Camp Museum. We will also use KUL’s state-of-the-art sports facilities, make a kayaking trip on a near-by river and lake and swim in a local aqua-park.

What to take: open mind and heart, rosary, sporting attire and shoes, sunscreen, sunglasses, cap/head cover, trunks/swimming suit, towel.
