- This Privacy Policy contains general information concerning the use (processing) by MAGIS Europe 2024, of the personal data of Users visiting the websites in the domain magis2024.eu.
- We respect the privacy of our Users and therefore make this Privacy Policy available so that each User is aware of the extent to which his/her personal data is processed.

Data protection legislation
- The Privacy Policy of the pages in the magis2024.eu domain refers to the following data protection legislation:
- Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation) (Official Journal of the EU.L No. 119, p. 1) – otherwise known as “RODO” (applicable as of 25.05.2018 together with new national legislation),
- 10(2) of the Act of 18 July 2002 on the provision of electronic services.
Collection of personal data
The following types of personal data may be collected, stored and used:
- information about your computer, including IP address, geographical location, browser type and version, and operating system;
- information about your visits to and use of this site, including the source of referrals, length of visit, page views and site navigation paths;
- information, such as your name and email address, that you provide to set up a subscription to our emails, newsletters or donations;
- information you enter when you use services on the website;
- information that is generated through the use of our website;
- information contained in any correspondence sent to us by email or through the website;
- any other personal data which you provide to us.
Before you disclose another person’s personal data to us, you must obtain that person’s consent to the disclosure and processing of that personal data in accordance with this policy.
Use of your personal data
Personal data sent to us via the pages on the magis2024.eu domain will be used for the purposes set out in this policy or on the relevant pages of the website. We may use your personal data for the purpose of:
- administer the website;
- to personalise the website for you;
- to enable you to use the services available on the Website;
- to provide donations through the website;
- to send you e-mail notifications that you have requested;
- sending you our e-mail newsletter, if you have requested it;
- providing statistical information about our users to third parties, with the proviso that third parties will not be able to identify any specific user from this information;

Use of data of those who support us with donations
- Financial support of the pages in the domain magis2024.eu is possible by making a donation through the PayU and PayPal systems handling online payments in Polish banks and via payment cards.
- In the case of a donation made to us by bank transfer, we process the personal data provided to us by the bank, i.e.: name, account number, donation amount, address. This is necessary for the performance of the contract and the fulfilment of the Administrator’s legal obligations (e.g. under accounting regulations).
- We process the additional information provided in the title of the transfer (e.g. email address) on the basis of our legitimate interest to send a thank you for your support. We also use the addresses from the bank transfers of those making donations to us for the same purpose.Â
- In the case of a donation made via PayU and/or PayPal systems, we ask for your name and surname so that we know with whom we are concluding the agreement (e.g. so that we can issue a certificate which will allow us to deduct the donation from tax or return money paid in error), the amount of the donation and your e-mail address which is necessary for the technical handling of the payment by the Jesuici.pl website system. This is necessary for the performance of the contract and the fulfilment of the Administrator’s legal obligations. The provision of data is voluntary, but necessary for the donation. The e-mail address also serves us – on the basis of legitimate interest – to send you a confirmation of the transfer and to thank you for your support. If you do not wish to be thanked, please send your objection to: [email protected]. If your address is also provided in PayU and/or PayPal, we process it as part of our legitimate interest for statistical purposes.
- We process the data of people who support us with donations for 5 years from the end of the calendar year in which we recorded the last interaction with the person on the jezuici.pl website (e.g. we received a donation, recorded an unsubscribe from a newsletter or participation in an event organised by us requiring registration).
Users’ rights in relation to the processing of personal data
- MAGIS Europe 2024 shall exercise the rights of Users in connection with the processing of their personal data. These rights derive from the applicable legal provisions on personal data, in particular the RODO (Articles 16-21).
- The User has the right to:
- To withdraw your consent to the processing of your personal data at any time.
- Right of access: you have the right to receive confirmation from MAGIS Europe 2024 as to whether your personal data is being processed by MAGIS Europe 2024 and how.
- The right to rectify outdated or inaccurate personal data, and the right to have it completed if it is incomplete.

- The right to object to the processing of your personal data, if we are processing your personal data based on our legitimate interest (e.g. analytical, evidential, archiving purposes), then in the event of your objection, we will have to stop processing your data , unless we demonstrate the existence of compelling legitimate grounds for the processing, which objectively should override your inconvenience or consist of defending our claims (e.g. in legal proceedings). You also have the right to object where the processing relates to direct marketing, including profiling, based on our legitimate interests, e.g. in connection with cookie-based profiling. In this case, the processing of personal data for this purpose must be stopped immediately.
- The right to erasure of personal data by MAGIS Europe 2024 (“right to be forgotten”) generally consists of requesting the controller to immediately erase personal data concerning you.
- The right to restrict the processing of your personal data, which in practical terms may involve temporarily blocking user access to your data, or transferring your data to another system.
- The right to data portability: you have the right to receive a copy of the personal data you have provided to us if the processing is based on your consent or under contract, and by automated means.
- The right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority – the President of the Office for Personal Data Protection.
- You may send any requests concerning the processing of your personal data, including your rights, by e-mail to: [email protected], or in writing to Towarzystwo Jezusowe Prowincja Polski PoÅ‚udniowej, MaÅ‚y Rynek 8, 31-041 Kraków with the note “IOD”. In the case of a request to withdraw consent, see also section VII below.
- Your requests will be complied with without undue delay, but no later than one month after receipt. This deadline may be extended due to the complexity of the request or the number of requests, for a further two months, of which we will inform you. However, until the request is fulfilled, it may happen that you receive information from us which you have opted out of by withdrawing your consent.
Security of personal data
- MAGIS Europe 2024 takes technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unlawful or unauthorised access or use, as well as against accidental destruction, loss or impairment of its integrity. The principle of ensuring security has guided us in the design of our IT infrastructure, the design of our standards and our business practices. Our security procedures include, in particular: access security, backup system, monitoring, review and maintenance, security incident management.
- As part of ensuring the security of personal data processed, we are committed to taking into account:
- confidentiality – we will protect your data against accidental disclosure to third parties,
- integrity – we will protect your data against unauthorised modification,
- accessibility – we will ensure that authorised persons have access to your data where necessary.
- Your personal data may only be processed by third parties if such entity undertakes to provide appropriate technical and organisational measures to ensure the security of the processing of personal data, as well as to maintain the confidentiality of such data. Any MAGIS Europe 2024 employee with access to personal data has the appropriate authorisation and is obliged to maintain confidentiality.
Data storage
- MAGIS Europe 2024 retains your personal data for the period of time necessary to fulfil the purposes of which you have been informed.
- The storage period for your personal data is set in strict compliance with the applicable legal provisions. You have the right to be informed by us as to what the likely duration of storage of your personal data is.
Sharing data with other entities
- With your consent, depending on the purpose of the data processing, and the content of the consent to process and share, your personal data may be shared with the entities indicated in the consents.
- We may share your data with processors – companies that provide services on our behalf and to whom we outsource activities that require data processing, in particular IT services, market research, organisation and execution of events, online payments.
- In connection with your use of the pages under the domain magis2024.eu, MAGIS Europe 2024 also collects the data contained in system logs. MAGIS Europe 2024 uses these primarily for technical purposes related to the administration of our servers. In addition, MAGIS Europe 2024 uses this information for the collection of statistical demographic information. The statistics kept allow us primarily to analyse the use of the functionalities provided by the website. The system logs collect information about IP addresses (the number of the network interface), however this data does not allow us to uniquely identify the user (to identify a specific natural person using a computer or other device connected to the internet).
